FAQ

The bedlinen is all professionally laundered at high temperatures

Q. What equipment do you have in the kitchen?

A. We have plenty pots, pans and casserole dishes and roasting trays to cook for a small Swiss Army! There are 2 ovens, one large steam conventional and fan oven and one smaller microwave combi oven. The induction hob is 90cm wide so plenty of room for lot of pots and pans as it has a large flexi zone. There is a fridge and freezer in the kitchen and a larger fridge and freezer is in the ultility room downstairs so plenty space for a large shop.  There is a dishwasher, a boiling water (Quooker) tap, a Nespresso with milk frother, a waffle maker, a blender, a toasters, a filter coffee machine, 2 fondue sets and a table top hot stone/raclette set.

Q. Do you have a washing machine?

There is a washing machine and dryer in the utility room on the ground floor

Q. Is there room to dry our boots and wet ski gear?

There is underfloor heating in the entrance hallway and there is a heated cupboard in the downstair hallway  where clothes and boots can be dried

Q. Do you provide baby equipment?

There is a cot, high chair (Stokke) on request, booster chair, changing mat and toys suitable for babies and toddlers.  You need to bring your own cot linen.

Q. Do you have Smart TVs?

A. Yes we have 3 Smart TVs in the property, located in the main sitting room, second sitting room  and master bedroom. The 55" TV  in the second sitting room  also has an XBox with plenty games.


Q.  How much are the ski passes for the 4 valleys?

A.  The skiing in and around Verbier can be broken up into four areas,Verbier, La Tzoumaz/Savoleyres, Bruson and 4 Vallees/Mt Fort. Ski passes can be purchased online and discounts of up to 10% are available for advance purchase.  In the summer on payment of tourist tax you will receive a free lift pass.


Q. How far from Le Petit Chalet to the bars and restaurants?

A.  We are about 600m walk from the nearest bar and approximately 800m to the centre of the resort. The walk home from the apres ski ia all downhill! There is also  an outdoor ice rink. There are  a number of excellent restaurants and bars; Restaurant La Tzoumaz on the edge of the town is famous for its fondues and traditional food.

 

Q. Are there any independent online reviews of skiing in Verbier/La Tzoumaz?

Q. Do you have specific dos and don'ts in the property?

We ask that you do not wear outdoor shoes in the property. The property is no smoking.   Please take care of the glass induction hob- do not drag pans across the surface and clean any spillages promptly.  Do not put any clothing on the sauna heater as it would pose a fire hazard.  We ask that you are environmentally friendly with the heating  as we include electricity under FAIR USE (details can be supplied).  The fees include a final basic clean but we ask that you leave the property in a clean presentable tidy condition with bins and recyling removed.  The kitchen should be clean and tidy and the dishwasher emptied.
